About Camzappers

Camzappers is a globe made of the latest images of 20,126 public webcams. Every piece of land is the last image of the cam that stands there. The night side is dark because the images are dark.

Signal and signal uncertain

Signal means a fresh image reached us in the last six hours. Signal uncertain means none did, or the image has not changed for a day. The cam may still work at the owner. Right now: 6,236 with signal, 13,890 uncertain.

Where the images come from

We fetch a still image per cam, in turns: the picture the owner publishes, the YouTube live image or a crop of the camera page. We resize it to 360 pixels and show it with the source and the time. The real stream is at the owner: that is where the button goes. We follow robots.txt, stop at blocks, and only show cams their owner made public on purpose.
